Manchester United fans were full of praise for Luke Shaw following the win over Burnley on Sunday. The left-back, who has had a turbulent few seasons under Jose Mourinho, has started all four of the Red Devils’ opening Premier League games. As well as being named in the first XI on each occasion, Shaw has arguably been United’s best performer so far. The attacking full-back put in yet another brilliant display as United won 2-0 at Turf Moor on Sunday. And United fans rushed to social media to share their praise for the 23-year-old. One supporter tweeted: “Luke Shaw has been Manchester United’s best player this season. It is great to see him back and playing well after a devastating injuries. “There are many players who don’t come back from a broken leg. If he can stay fit he can become a top class player. Huge credit to him.” Another fan posted: “Luke Shaw is like a new player. Great again today. Pogba, Matic and Fellaini dominated the midfield too.” Romelu Lukaku scored twice as the Red Devils put a nightmare week behind them in style. But United’s victory was marred by Marcus Rashford’s red card. The 20-year-old headbutted Phil Bardsley just 10 minutes after coming on and was immediately shown his marching orders.
