A huge fire has broken out near the iconic Littlewoods Pools Building in Liverpool. Smoke and flames can be seen around the noteable building on Edge Lane. Built in 1938, the building is next to the Wavertree Botanic Gardens. It was used during World War II to facilitate the manufacture of barrage balloons and woollen material. In June 2018, developers announced the new site will consist of a film studio complex and adjacent soundstages to become the new base of Twickenham Studios.
