A mother-of-five who works as a professional exorcist , claiming to expel demons from people’s bodies to pay off her mortgage. One session with Lizzy Rose from Melbourne, Australia, isn’t cheap – and can reportedly cost up to $750 (£582). The 48-year-old ‘witch’ cast her first spell at just nine years old and after working as a paramedic, she eventually returned to her ‘true calling’. Lizzie told 9news how her business is booming, saying: “We have three waiting lists for different reasons from a waiting list for the dead and a waiting list for the living.” Her suburban family home is a shrine to the supernatural and she casts spells from her living room every day. But she says the work isn’t easy, adding: “I’ve been bitten, I’ve been pulled by the hair, thrown up against the wall, pushed a lot.” One of her clients, Andrea, claims the experience felt like she had no control over her body. She said she was “just shaking, really, really cold, and at the end of it when she said ‘it is done, it is done, it is done,’ I just felt this release.” Andrea also described Lizzy, who is also a grandmother, as very convincing. But Lizzy says her aim isn’t to convince or convert anyone, and accepts people can be sceptical of her work.
