McDonald’s and Domino’s are helping Australians fight the trade war against China by giving customers a quick and easy way to check how much of their order is made locally.     Federal Agriculture Minister David Littleproud has praised the fast food giants for helping shoppers make sure they purchase items made from local ingredients as Australia’s trade war with China takes a toll on farmers.     ‘I’ve actually got McDonald’s and Domino’s to sign up,’ Mr Littleproud told radio station 2GB on Monday morning.  ‘So even when you go into the fast-food outlets, they’re now disclosing the level of Australian ingredients in their product.’  Scroll down for video  Fast food chains McDonald’s (McDonald’s information pictured) and Domino’s are helping Australians to purchase local produce amid an escalating trade war with China  Both fast food giants (Domino’s information pictured above) have displayed country of origin information that shows what percentage of their ingredients are sourced from Australia  Mr Littleproud’s message came amid rising tensions with China, which has imposed sanctions on a growing list of Australian products including beef, sugar, wine and barley.     Domino’s introduced ‘country of origin’ information in 2018 to show the amount of Australian ingredients that make up each product.  RELATED… Read full this story
