WhatsApp starts rolling out ‘mute video’ sharing support for Android beta users
Instant messaging app WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out the support for muting videos before sharing them on the platform. As per a report by WABetaInfo, this feature has been rolled out for Android beta users of the app and is soon expected to be rolled out publicly too. As per the report, WhatsApp rolled out a new update for beta users — version 2.21.3.13 — which includes a toggle that can mute a video. The screenshot provided in the report shows that this toggle will appear with other editing options such as trimming, adding text, stickers and more. The first mention of this feature from WABetaInfo — the online platform that tracks the upcoming features and changes on the Facebook-owned app — was made in November 2020 with the Android beta version 2.20.207.2 of the app when the feature was under development. Skype update for Android brings background blur feature, iOS version also receives a host of new features
Skype for Android has been updated with a new set of features. The new Skype version 8.68 is now available for download via Google Play Store and brings the much asked Background Blur feature to the app. In addition to this, Microsoft has also updated the Windows, Linux and Web versions of Skype with features like new custom reaction picker and more. Skype for iOS has also been updated with a new share extension and dark theme as well as improved performance. The update also includes several bug fixes and performance improvements overall.
