In brief: With the Covid vaccine rollout continuing, some big events are returning to an in-person format. One of these is Berlin's IFA trade show, which plans for a "full-scale return" this September. Unlike most of last year's events, IFA 2020 wasn't entirely online—some people were invited to attend in-person for a "Special Edition" of the show. But it seems organizers expect the 2021 version to be pretty much business as usual; over 80% of the exhibitor space has already been booked out, and it's expected to reach 100% by the end of May. "With the world on course to emerge from the pandemic, IFA Berlin is set to take place as a full-scale, real-life event from 3 – 7 September 2021. Apple has officially announced its “Spring Loaded” event for April 20th, its first major product announcement of 2021. Unlike a lot of Apple’s events, its spring events tend to be a bit more scattershot: one year might see high-end iPads , another a more education-focused event , or a launch of a comprehensive service strategy . This year, rumors are pointing to a refreshed iPad Pro lineup , potentially with Apple’s first Mini LED panels — which would bring a big jump forward for the company’s tablet displays. The Samsung Unpacked 2021 event has recently been announced for April 28, with the cryptic invite hinting that the “most powerful Galaxy is coming”, and it looks like it could be referring to two new Samsung Galaxy Book Pro laptops which have just appeared online. Apple is holding a special event at its headquarters in Cupertino on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10am Pacific time ( see it in your timezone ). Easy: Although last year's big Amazon sale was delayed to October because of the pandemic , this year's will almost certainly return to the regular July timeframe. That's been the default month since Prime Day began back in 2015. But hang on: According to a report from tech blog Recode, Amazon Prime Day might happen in June this year . As of Friday morning, we still don't have any official comment from Amazon, so take that rumor with a grain of salt. Why might Amazon bump the event up a month? After all, Prime Day's initial raison d'etre was to celebrate the anniversary of the company's launch back in July, 1995.
