Instant messaging app WhatsApp is said to be working on increasing the security of chat backups. As per a tweet by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned app is working on encrypting chat backups, as a result of which, only users will be able to access them. WhatsApp is reportedly working to increase the security of its cloud backups with a new password protection feature that’ll encrypt chat backups, making them accessible only to the user.
